Tragedy

Read of a terrible tragedy in the paper tonight. We had some bad flooding in our area over the weekend and it seems a guy was evacuated from his house, and apparently he took his bike with him when he left. The article read that he was trying to reach his mothers house and was on the interstate around 2:00 am, when he had hit a deer, was thrown from his bike and then ran over by a passing motorist, of which didn't even stop. I know karma will catch up with the motorist, but man how shitty is that.

Wow, unbelievable that someone could run another person over and not even have the courtesy to stop and wait for help with him. Karma is certainly a fickle bitch.

I read that article last night and the guys name really didn't ring any bells, until tonight when I had read the obit. They had his place of employment listed and immediately I realized I knew the guy, not very well of course, but I did know him. When I was first out of the army I worked a year in a factory, he was a 1st shift forklift driver and I'd relieve him on second shift. Kind of really brought it home to me.
