Just picked up an old beater 1990 F150 2x4 with an 8 foot bed. I am pretty sure it will, but just to be positive....will this truck haul a Road King?  \\; Any tricks to loading and strapping it down?
Bed length is way more than enough and your back tire will be inside the bed I think (as opposed to riding on the tailgate or in the break). You need a ramp or similar that can hold the bike and I recommend a couple more (boards?) to duckwalk up on. On a truck that old I'd check the cables on the tailgate pretty closely but you should be ok. I put my straps on the triple tree (at least with my old non-bagger) before I ride up so I can strap it down by myself if I don't have help. You need some smaller straps for the back also. Oh yeah, be ready to go from throttle to braking quickly so you don't bounce off the back of the bed (don't ask why I know!). And once you start up, don't pussyfoot, keep forward momentum. Good luck
Thanks for all of the info guys! I really appericiate it. \\; I dont have any immeadite plans to tow it anywhere, just good to know that I can if I need to.
