I travel all over the world for business and I totaly agree with you there are some really nice places to see, however, with the value of the US dollar being as it is, it becomes cost prohibitive. \\; All the Europeans are coming \\;to the US \\;and spending thier Pounds and Euro.
Our group just got back from a great weekend in the North Carolina/Tennessee mountains. \\; We stayed in Gatlinburg and did a 220-mile loop and took in the Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon and the Smoky Mountains parkway. \\;\\\\\\; If you stay another day, the Blue Ridge Parkway is only an hour away and you can take it as far as you want to ride. \\;\\\\\\; Charlotte would be a good place to fly into and you can rent at Harley-Davidson of Charlotte or Carolina Harley Davidson in Gastonia. \\;\\\\\\;
+1 with highwayking...I prefer staying in Asheville, NC. All the primo riding areas there, you can hit South Carolina, Georgia, Tennesee, Kentucky, Virgina and the famous Blue Ridge Parkway within hours.
