Looking at a Honda rebel to get to work and back. Want to ride Baby Girl for the fun miles and keep the wear and tear down. Anyone riden one? Like it? Its the only econo bike that looks like a cruiser. The Buell Blast looks like crap.
 \\; I bought one for my wife to learn on. I thought it a little small and under powered for any distance (I'm only 5'8"). \\; My \\;wife is a little taller \\;and she \\;liked it a lot, she did many 150 mile rides on it. \\; \\;There was (might still be) a group that organized a cross country road trip for Rebels every year.
 \\;It was a reliable, got good mileage \\;and \\;held its value (I \\;sold it for more than I paid for it).
A \\;450 Rebel or 600 VLX \\;would also be a good choice for small cruiser style Hondas.

We have a couple Rebel 250s as training bikes. \\; They have good power and handle well, though at 6' 2" and 260 I find them a bit cramped[sm=smiley3.gif]. \\; They are really durable as well.
Agree, unless you are vertically challenged, you'll find the Rebel, Savage and other smaller bikes really uncomfortable. \\; I say, ride the big one and fuggidaboudit.
v-star 250 or virago 250. \\; The Rebel is really, really anemic for much. \\; I loved my nighthawk, for a first bike, but it ran out of steam at 50mph.  \\;
I gotta be able to ride it on the highway, dont think that enduro would work to well. Thinking of an 883L if i can find one at a good price. I would leave the little bastard totally stock though. Already got a money pit I love. \\;
