Today the weather actually was a nice 45 degrees, the wife took of to go to her Mom's house leaving the son and I. About 11:15 he ask "Whats for lunch". So I say "What do you want "(knowing answer will be McD's, Pizza Hut, or Coco's Curry (its a Japanese thing)). He replied "McDonalds". To which I said ok want to ride the bike or take the van? He replied bike with a big ol smile on his face. Had to drive to base to get bike out of shed started it up and off to McD's next thing you know we're headed down the road toward Hiroshima (35 miles) passing 3 fully packed McDonalds. Into the city with some really wild riding pulled up to a McDonalds about 1/4 from Peace Park ate lunch and came home. Great to get on the bike again!!!!! So my question is: Is riding 75 miles for a McDonalds normal? Or should have I pressed on toward Okyama (another 100 mile north)?[sm=biker2.gif]
I think you should have driven another 100 miles to check out the service at the next McD's. Your kid would probably appreciate the lesson in capitalism and comparisons in customer service.

RE: 75 Mile McD's Run
We do it all the time. We pass the first Mc D's about 1/2 mile from home on the way to the one on the coast in Ventura, Ca.....about 45 miles 1 way. Summer we ride to a coffee joint about a block farther. Harleys are truly addictive!
