I was riding back from my dealer today wearing a sleeveless shirt and got cought in a sudden downpour, I was on interstate 185 just about to exit 39 (highway 27), It rained so hard it actually broke the skin on my arms and shoulders, I had a feeling when I left the house that I needed my rain gear, but walked right out and left it at home, but from where I was there would of been no time to put it on. This system came in so fast, the old lady was in the cage and actully passed me right before the rain hit, it was thundering and lightening off in the distance, as she passed she just laughed at me knowing I was about to get wet, just neighter of us knew how bad it was going to be.
I got caught in a downpour many years ago. Wasn't fun. And I did have a rain suit. Felt like I was being pelted with rocks.

That is one beautiful bike!
I have always chosen from day one (36 years now) to always wear leather, boots, helmets and leather gloves. Saved my **** on more then one occasion. \\; **** happens at some of the most inconvenient and unexpected times. High or low speed flats. Going over the high side. And I guess by your account, painful rain drops.
I wear my leather 99% of the time when rideing weather it be 35 deg out or 98 deg, just something Ive done for just about 30 years and the only thing I worry about is hail and lightning......
Gee, that sounds painful...shoulda had all the gear these other guys do...I don't know what's worse, complaining about the rain, or all the comments about all the "rain gear"...
