Weight As Shipped ~ 669
&nbsp\\;
GVWR ~ 1160
&nbsp\\;
GAWR Front ~ 430
&nbsp\\;
GAWR Rear ~ 730

I did the math on my 2005 SE Fat Boy. I added the saddlebags. They weighed 36 lbs. Fuel adds about 40 lbs. That brings the bike up to right at 800 lbs, so there is only 360 lbs of&nbsp\\;weight capacity left.&nbsp\\; Put stuff in the saddlebags and&nbsp\\;with 2 good sized people on, you are over the weight capability.&nbsp\\;The combined weight capacity of the 2 tires is 1,564 lbs. so they are not the limiting factor
Does anyone have the Gross Vehicle Weight of an Ultra and what the weight capacity is after subtracting the bikes weight fully fueled?&nbsp\\; It would be an interesting comparison.

I guess on my '03 it wouild leave 451 pounds available for riders and gear...
&nbsp\\;
(669 shipped, plus 40 for fuel)...
&nbsp\\;
I didn't realize that the shipping weight of the&nbsp\\;SE model is that much more than the regular model, while the GVWR remained the same at 1160 pounds.

I ride with a guy that goes overseas to help in some type of forestry work. He was telling me how there would be whole families,on very small motorcycles, over in the Asian countries. He said it is normal to see up to 5 people on 1 little motorcycle (Mother,Father and 3 little kids).
