No more "Live, Freeze, or Die!"? How will you give it up? Welcome down here. Not a better place for owning a bike. 4 perfect seasons and the winter isn't at all bad. One note of warning, though. Lots of pine trees and the pollen in the spring is so severe your car turns yellow overnight. I start doses of Claritin in about the 3rd week of Feb and keep em up until late April. It'll make yer eyes water and yer sneezer sneeze like crazy if you are at all inclined to allergies.

Thanks folks. Been trying for 6 years or so. Everytime something came up transfer put on hold, step daughter didn't want to leave friends etc.. etc.. Now being laidoff was the greatest. Step Daughter moved to Nebraska with her father Monday and job offer came in Tuesday. Originally from NJ (exit 163 GSP or 18 TPK) been here 23 long years. Just me momma the 8 yo and 2 dogs heading down. Momma told me if I got her out of here I could get a second ride and have one for around town and one for long distance. Guess I'll start looking. Fair trade I think house of her dreams for her and my Dyna for around town and a bagger for the cruise back here each June for Laconia.

Welcome from Lady's Island SC. Moved here from Philly 10 years ago, never regreted it. You'll love riding year round down here. Greenville has a large Harley Dealership. You are about 5.5 hours from the coast (taking the scenic route). Easy ride to Myrtle Beach, Daytona etc. Good luck with the new job!

i miss living in columbia, sc. housing is so much cheaper than about anywhere. wish i could leave phoenix and go back. you will love it.

Once I'm done with my service I'm moving from the Northern VA/DC area to Tampa.
Truth is, I can't afford to live there. 600,000 for a townhouse? Somebodys been snorting something funky. Besides, spending 22 years there (before enlisting) you kind of run out of things to do.
