Didn't go as far south as SC but, The Army got me out of Philly about 11 years ago. Got as far south as Fayetteville, NC. We liked it so much now we call it home. Momma said buy me a house and you can get your bike. Now who could turn down an offer like that.

Welcome from just outside of Aiken SC. I moved down here last year from NY (job transfer) and I'm enjoying it! People are much friendlier and more polite than in the NE, too! Summers are sort of brutal, but it may not be quite as bad for you up closer to the mountains. More interesting roads, too, than here in the midlands. Overall, GOOD CHOICE!

Welcome...I guess we can handle one more northerner, but...just a quick word for any of you other "yankees" considering moving south ...it is really hot here and there are a lot of gnats and other insects to deal with so if I were you I'd stay put up north.
