Why would you take your hard earned money and go to Myrtle Beach. They say will harrass and ticket you and they do not want us there but people say they are still going?
Myrtle Beach proper is only about 20% of what is down there. You have Murrells Inlet (which has the best bars if you ask me), Surfside, and Atlantic Beach. These towns are run independent of Myrtle Beach proper. The city of Myrtle Beach can pass all the laws or harass all they want. You could spend a week down there and never make it to the City of Myrtle Beach, so who cares what they do?
I have spent many an afternoon at SBB watching drunks burn the back tire off their rides and then seeing them figure out how they'll get back home. I don't go into MYB proper so their decision has nothing to do with me. I usually end up on the south end toward Surfside, or Garden City. I don't ride OD because it's jsut stop and go parking lot anyway. I also enjoy seeing old friends and meeting new ones. I'll still go , just avoid MYB

Yaa, they seen my last buck too. But not SBB or the Beaver Bar I really buck up in those two places, fun times. Why put up with all that traffic when you don't have to. Their loss, not ours.
I've gone down to MB for May bike week twice. I was actually suprised to see how few bikes are pulled over by the local police. We stay at Murrells Inlet and usually have the bike parked by 10 pm. It's a one minute walk to SBB and The Beaver Bar from the Holiday Inn Express.
We made the round daily to North MB to HB Spokes and pretty much hit all the other bike friendly places in between. Later at night it could be a totally different story.
Gee...let's not ride where we are hassled......go ahead, stay home.
I ride where I want to, may have to behave a little more is all.
" Myrtle Beach" is a big area, go there but don't **** off everyone.
