Rider Down 8/30
So it finally happened to me, I was in a serious accident Saturday night around 9 PM. I just left my house and I was on my way to get something to eat. Less than a 1/4 mile from my house is a sharp curve. The road was a little wet, and I was only doing about 30 MPH. I took the corner wrong and lost control of my bike. I went about 18 ft. off the road down an embankment into the woods. I landed about 2 ft further down then my bike. Fortunately I didn't hit a tree or I wouldn't be here writing this today, I'd be dead. I ended up breaking my collar bone and fracturing 4 ribs. The bike is in tough shape, but nothing that can't be repaired. Needless to say my riding season is over, but I am thankful to be alive. Someone upstairs was looking out for me....
