When buying a helmet online....if it didn't fit perfectly, maybe a bit too tight or a tad loose, which would you prefer? By too tight I mean really hugging the head to the point of it being uncomfortable and by too loose I mean just a bit of play, nothing drastic. Thanks
I wear a helmet one size too big because I wear my baseball cap under the helmet. I use the cap as my adjustible sun visor and then I just keep the cap on after removing the helmet. It's much better as a sun visor than the one attatched to the helmet. But to answer your question, the helmet should be snug but not uncomfortible.
a little loose, cause this way you can wear a bandana and not worry about getting the inside of the helmet all swaety, my girl hates when I go for a ride and forget my bandana.
This may not be the answer you're looking for, but if you're not sure of the fit, don't buy the helmet online. Go to a store where you can try it on. It's too important an item to buy on faith.
Well, a loose full-face helmet will tend to pull up on your head and bob around when you're out on the highways, eventually it'll feel like a 20 lb weight. Too tight definitely has drawbacks as well. If you're talking snug, then go with snug because the padding will squish down and the fit will become just right.

I Agree, but I also like modular full face, I dont like to much complete full face. Other then that I have a half helmet I use and usually ride with no helmet, but main priority with a helmet is to fit snug, Thats the difference with saving your life.
