I am pretty tall 6'3. I am pretty new to owning a Harley but to motorcycles in general. I own a 2006 Softail FXST and I just don't feel like it's big enough to be comfortable on. It has the controls that come with it but I have no idea if I can do anything to this bike or possibly look at another model to trade in the future. There's got to be others out there over 6'?
I'm 6'2", 230 pounds. I love my Ultra. The only real mod I made associated with my size/ergonomics was the floorboard extensions to move my boards out 3/4" and it made all the difference in the world. Definately need highway pegs. Otherwise, the Ultra is the way to go.
I had the same problem when I bought my Softail DELUXE a few months ago.......
VERY uncomfortable with me being 6'3" 220lbs.........
somebody recommended the H-D TALL-BOY seat.............
had the dealer put it on yesterday.......... WALLAH !!!!
The bike fits like a glove now...... first time I've felt comfortable riding this bike, rode to South Beach last night, didn't wanna get off!
Moved me back a couple of inches and up a couple of inches.....
even the foot position on the boards are perfect...
I actually bought the footboard extenders (to move them forward) but I'm returning them!
I was considering un-loading this DELUXE and buying an '09 ROAD KING......
That's interesting. My Deuce fits me pretty good, although I *could* move the footpegs a bit foreward. However, when I go from my custom seat to the Sundowner, I'm up high enough that it's not an issue. Does the Tallboy affect your long-distance comfort? With the Sundowner, my back is bent differently, and I'm more upright; I actually don't like it.

I put a Tall Boy seat on my RKC it pushes you back two inches but very little in height!

6'4" 278 lbs here and with things like brake pedal extension, Kuryakyn now makes floorboard off set that move the floorboards 1" out and I believe slightly forward. My biggest asset is my offset highway peg extensions, I've gotten to where I ride with my feet on the highway pegs in all but the most heavy traffic. But like someone stated before, the baggers seem to be the best platform to start these mods for a taller person. My current bike is a 06 Road King but I will be going back to an Ultra within a week or so, whenever it comes in. The first thing I have to do to the Ultra is remove the Lowers permanently because my big feet just don't get along with them.
I am 6'3" and when I road my FXSTD I love it. Then I bought my Road Glide, moved the floor boards forward two inches and out one inch. Brake pedal and shifter extended two inches. Extremely comfortable. My wife, who now rides the Deuce, wanted to try my bagger, so we switched and I found I felt cramped.
