About 6 wks left up here, then it's teardown time....new front wheel and fender(16"chrome profile and fatboy fender) and paint job. It's a bummer to put it away but it doesn't cut into riding time for mods.
I fail to see why it is such a big deal about us Northeners having to give up riding for a few months.Except for a couple of years, have lived hear all my life and love the 4 distinct seasons. There are all kinds of things to do year round up here all of them great fun.Besides that, also have other things that totally captivate my imagination.Think about this, that first spring ride is incredible every single year.Been doing it since 1962.
Yeah I go up to Atlanta every day , the gas lines on 138 at the Fairburn exit are long at the stations that have gas ..
sis and mother are in Lawrenceville , same problem there
Lawrenceville, Georgia...... brings back memories for me.......
While I was in downtown Lawrenceville years ago at the city square courthouse getting a divorce, Larry Flynt, publisher of HUSTLER MAGAZINE was shot outside on the sidewalk.......
a GREAT day for me, not good for Larry.....
But back to the subject at hand, I can ride "year-round" in North Bay Village, FL........ we're on an island in the middle of Biscayne bay on the northside of MIAMI, so we always have a warm "trade-wind"...........
some days, however, in the summer I will elect to fire up the A/C in my F-150 and be about 30* cooler...... an old geezer needs his air once in a while!
Here in southern NJ last year was quite worm and I think total snow fall was like 10 inches. Was out about every weekend and a couple days in the week all winter long. If you live here you would be a true believer in global worming. The word is for a "normal" winter this year so I will just have to wait and see. I haven't used 4wd in my truck for the last 3 years and even when the weather man calls for snow (Philly could get hit hard and we would only get a dusting) I say "I'll believe it when it's on the ground!" I want another last year!
I've just moved to the west coast on Vancouver Island. Very little snow to speak of but lots of rain to be expected. I'm hoping to ride through the winter during periods without rain. TBD. Fingers crossed.
We live in the California Desert so we ride all year... There are a few days above 120 that I dont care to put myself thru that (Actually I set my limit at 115 and above) but the great weather is just coming into play, Nice cool mornings and warm afternooons
