I like it, great idea . I never liked the Harley heel down to up shift, so much so that I would only use the toe shifter, its just more comfortable having my heel planted on the floor board.

I think the New Way Shifter would be even more comfortable because you won't have to raise your toe to pull the shifter up to up shift, just push down to up shift or down shift. Something anyone could adapt to within a few minutes of riding. Once again....Great idea!

One drawback I see: I'm running ***** out through the gears, I'm doing 80 in 4th and I go to downshift(?) into fifth and hit the wrong shifter....rpms scream, back tires locks and goes into a skid, next thing you know they're trying to do a skin graft to replace what left of my ***....just a thought...

How do you shift now? You have to remember:
Shifter up = up shift
Shifter down = down shift

You can just remember the same for something new:
Outboard shifter = up shift
Inboard shifter = down shift

Only problem I see will be for the ones that bring their bike in to the dealer for service,....an oil change or having a custom gas cap installed . You would have to give detailed instructions on how to operate the shifter. Maybe one of those refrigerator magnets the size of a credit card in some florescent colors that you could put on the tank that said:

"Warning"
This bike equiped with a custom shifter not to be operated by the incompetent, detailed instructions below:

Outboard shifter = up shift
Inboard shifter = down shift

I think it would have been a whole lot cooler if you had indicated this was your product in your original post. It seems a bit shady when it looks like you're trying to come across as "Hey! Look at this neat new product I found online!". Not saying there's anything shady about your product or company, just telling you that's the impression your initial post would give most people.

Being less than forthcoming in your original post didn't do you any favors. You would have gotten a better response if you had been straight up. Plus you posted in the Dyna forum, a bit more gritty group. Not all, but just read through the Touring forum and you will see the difference. Should've posted in the Touring forum and been a straight shooter. Having said that I think it's a great product and definitely has it's place in the market. Old school dudes and us blue collar dudes aren't going to go for it. Your nitch is with the Newbies and Rubs that want the latest gadget that's different from other bikes. And at that price it's only the Rubs that can afford it. But they are the fastest growing demographic in the biker world so market carfully and you should be able to make a nice little pile of cash. Good luck.

I'll stick to my heel and toe shifting. I used to ride shifting with the toe only, but now that I've tried the heel and toe, I like it!

Tough crowd today! I like the idea & I think it's like going from a toe shift to a heel shift, after 10 minutes it's simple. Good luck & when you run a 40% off HDF member discount I'm in.

Actually I already push down with my toe to downshift and down with my heel to upshift. I like it the way it is.
