While we were in Daytona this past week security and theft became an issue. What are some of the things you do to keep your bike safe, whether overnight at a rally, hotel, or just when you stop to grab a bite to eat.
We just try to make it as difficult as possible on overnight parking. Parking close together, and use fork lock. Disc lock, cable or chain a couple of them together. Remove windshields and bags? At what point does it become too much?
We try and make it difficult too. Park the bikes close with one blocking the rest. Fork locks and alarm sysems. But the shell casing might work best of all.
place a .44 magnum shell casing on the tank with a note that says .. dont turn around azz-hole. you are making me nervous. Just leave..... lol
Now thats good,.... haha. I put a motion sensing alarm on mine after a friend and his brother got both of their scoots stolen from a La Quinta Inn parking lot in Tucson. Now when my motorcycle alarm pager goes off in the hotel room I just lean out the door....flip the laser on the Glock on, and paint up whatever caused the alarm to signal...
