Nope you can't pop a wheelie. Can-Am has a couple computer controlled safety systems on the bike that prevent you from even doing a powerslide. Yes there is a lot of performance behind the machine, plenty of hp and torque. Supposed to be governed for a top speed of 115mph, I've only hit 100 mph. But that was in 4th gear. The Spyder does have power steering that takes some getting used to. It is called DPS (dynamic power steering0 which is electronically driven, slow speed turning takes less effort while at higher speed you need a little more input. Once you get used to riding it you forget about the differences from a traditional motorcycle. While the seating takes some getting used to the fatigue factor is non-existent. As for parts I don't find them to be that expensive, plus my dealer gives me 20% off of anything.
Hey, us Canadians don't mess around. When we build a trike we build it right......now if we could just build something with 2 wheels that's as good as the Spyder, we'd be all set
The 16k depends on where you're getting it. I picked mine up at 15,900, but I've seen them going for 20k. It all depends on the dealer and the customer. Some folks are desperate to get their hands on the Spyder, some have made deposits and are still waiting. I walked in and bought mine off the floor.

saw another one cruising around during biketoberfest. interesting bike, looks kinda fun but definitely different. i've ridden quads and 3-wheelers, kinda reminds me of a mix of them. i think once the novelty wears off you won't see many of them. really surprised they are selling so fast for a new concept bike, with low gas mileage to boot.
