Well that was different. I get the impression that the guys wife or GF is forcing him to get rid of it. So he makes it so rediculous no one will touch it with a ten foot pole..
That way he can honestly say he tried to sell it, but no one wanted it, so I guess I'll just have to keep it.
I do have a couple of questions about it though, first is how do you ride a bike at 175+mph uphill, but still have 0 miles on it, and does anyone know what color 'other' is?
I think both the high buy-it-now and the description are intended to attract attention to his auction and, most likely, screw Ebay out of their money by getting somebody to buy it "on the side" and then let the auction close on Ebay without a sale. I suspect doing it that way will limit interest so much that he will lose several times the auction cost off the price of his bike, but if he's riding that he's probably not a rocket scientist...maybe a crotch-rocket scientist, which doesn't require so much brain power.
Oh well, even if he seels it for $99K, it'll still only be a Yamaha.
If you look at his "store" he has a Suzuki and a Honda sport bike posted the same way, probably just trying to get attention for the tire-tread-marker-paint he sells.
