Default Yes, another battery tender question

time for me to start plugging my bike in, was 25 deg last night... went to start it this morning and she had a little trouble turning over. so here is my question.... Is it safe for the tender to plug, then unplug, etc constantly? because I know i have heard that if you leave the tender plugged in while you start it.. you can fry the tender..

I've always unplugged it before starting. Get a small battery charger and use the boost for starting......might want to stick a light bulb 100w under the engine also....

+1 The colder a battery gets the less cranking amps it has. Throw a breathable cover over the bike and put the light bulb underneath.

I always unplug mine before I start the bike/boat/gator/lawnmower. Then plug it back in when I finished and put them up for the day.

Charge your battery and then check it on a load tester. I just did that to my almost seven year old battery and it showed WEAK, so I ordered a new battery to replace it. I got another Interstate Cycle-Tron II High Performance battery with 310 CCA - cold cranking amps. The battery number is (CYTX20H-BS). Below is a link.

I keep my battery on a Battery Tender whenever it's parked. Some may feel that's overkill, but my battery has been in my bike since February 2002 and has never let me down. Your battery should be fine, just keep it on the Battery Tender.
