I know that the dampener bolt on the forks of an FX front is metric allen. Fortunately, I have a set of metric allen wrenches and metric allen sockets. The brakes are 1/4" 12 point for the pad pins and 10mm 12 point for the calipers. The battery terminals are 10 mm.

Gotta have some 12 pt sockets. Make sure that when you buy a torx set that it includes both T-25 and T-27 sizes. Some sets only include one of them.

Now you need 2 complete sets of tools to do anything. Not only that, but Harley really likes those stupid Torx screws. Don't forget to pick up a set of Torx "safety" bits as well. My toolbox is busting at the seams.

The only measure of sanity is my trusty ironhead. All English, and it seems that I could rebuild the whole thing with little more than a 1/2" wrench and a phillips head screwdriver.
As Mentioned in my previous post, on all machinery and equipment we work with this is regarded as very bad practice. I cannot belive HD do not have the muscle to tell Euro based suppliers to comply?? I have a bigger concern, and that is the actual threads. Although I have only just bought my bike and cannot foresee any reason to strip anything at this stage I will bear this in mind. Some of the threads can be very close and feel like a "sloppy" or tight thread. Swapping over could potentially take place and that will do some nasty damage - proceed with caution.
