free sunglasses

i got a letter a couple days ago in the mail, since i was a customer and i did buy my bike from orlando harley, that i will get a free pair of sunglasses. anybody elso get the same letter.

Why didn't they just send you the glasses in the mail instead of sending a letter saying you are going to get free glasses?

it is a orange letter saying ride on in for a free pair of viva sunglasses. i wounder if metric companys do this not.

It's a marketing ploy. They want to get you in their door in the hopes that once there you'll see something besides the free sunglasses that you just have to have. I do it all the time with my new customers in the hopes that I can turn them into frequent (or at least repeat) customers.
