Default Any one ever done this?

When you were a kid and rode around on your bicycle ,did you ever take a baseball or hockey card and use a closepin and attach it to your front wheel so that it made noise.I did and I remember the card, it was a Mickey Mantle card, which today would probably be worth enough to buy a new H-D. I also think anyone who did this with a card probably has loud pipes on there H-D today This would probably make a good thesis study for some aspiring shrink.
The main reason for doing this with a card was because our lips hurt so much from flappin them in the wind to emulate the sound of a motorbike.

Yea, but I used playing cards so not to mess up my baseball and football cards. Was always trying to figure out how to make it louder

Yeah, we used playing cards too. Mom and them was pissed when they went to play cards and there were only 48 cards in the deck.

Yeah, used to use mostly Yankees cards - life long Red Sox fan. We also used to saw the forks off of old bikes then stick 'em on the other forks to make a chopper. A couple of us took a header when the forks came off so we brought our bikes to a body shop and had them welded on.

Remember those old 1.5" aluminum window blinds? They did a great job at that, just cut em to length and put front and back. Now we're makin' some racket!

I used to use baseball cards to make noise. Brings back memories. My Harley has quiet pipes, so I guess I've mellowed on the noise.

Yep...Black stingray with a silver metallic banana seat (later changed to a solo) and a short sissy bar. Playing cards on each side (dual exhaust).

We used baloons filled about half way with air. We then tied each end to the back frame and pushed them next to the spokes. Sounded just like a motorcycle for about 100 feet and then they would pop.
