Warranty question

was wondering if i were to put on braided lines for clutch and brakes,etc,would it affect my warrenty if i don't get the dealer to do itwith there product?
Some one told me that it would screw up the warrenty.
any thoughts

As with everything else, you are entitled to customize your bike with out negating your warranty. Please read the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. No different than you asking if changing your own oil will void your warranty....the answer is no. -edit, I should also add that if you change out your lines, the warranty on your bike would not cover those aftermarket lines. However, the warranty would still cover the other parts of the braking system. Now, if you developing a problem with your brakes down the road, say your calipers fail, the warranty could not be denied because "you change your brake lines", the servicer of the warranty would have to provide proof that your actions of changing the lines caused the failure.

Thanks guys,I.m sure its the same as the USA verus Canada for warrenty issues with Harley davidson.

Good luck if you ever need warranty service. I've had two bad experiences with the MoCo on my '08. They'll weasel out of everything they can.

I know a guy that had a problem with his bike, it was still under warranty but he made the mistake of riding to the dealer wearing Levi's and not Harley Davidson jeans.
