Just received an email promo with these disc alarms on sale. Never seen them before. Looks like a good idea for someone who doesn't want a mfg system, but wants some protection.
Not much info on the product description other than what I pasted below.
Anyone give these things a try?
For the price they seem like good products. I considered them myself. Saw some reviews where folks had false alarms and battery failures but the main problem for me was the inconvenience of carrying it around and putting it on.
I went with the Roadlok (hdforum site sponsor) Much more expensive but it stays on the bike and locks and unlocks in a snap. No alarm though.
FYI: I don't know what kind of exp. you've had with your promo vendor but I've done alot of business with Eastern Performance and they have a great rep on the board. They have the XE15 for $82.99 inc shipping. They don't seem to have the XN15, just the XN14 for $85. http://www.easternperformance.com/in...roducts_id=535

I got the Xena XN-14 from Eastern. Great price and they are good people to deal with. It came with a small pouch to keep it in. If you have the stock harley disc its a snap to put on and take off. Mine had the "110"db sounder but its not really effective. all these types of disc locks are to make it difficult to roll it away, but its the only kind I can use where I live other than the security systems which I can't afford. Still a hell of a lot better than nothing!

Not trying to promote anyone or bump a sponsor that's why I didn't provide a link until someone asked. There are two retail shops in my area and I buy often from them. 2 HDs and 4 quads so really more a matter of convenience and customer service experiences have been excellent. Just happened to see the product and thought it interesting enough to pass along.
Thanks
I bought two for a trip from Atlanta to California. Ending up just using one while the other one still sits in the box. They actually work real well. It gave me a good piece of mind at hotels. I don't know how long the unit was sitting on the shelf but the battery installed did not last long at all. Luckly they put an extra battery in the box. The second battery worked for the rest of the trip. I think it was money well spent.
I used one on my previous cruiser (V-Star Classic), and I did like it. Still have it, but havent been using it. Only thing I didn't like was the weight, which is probably a plus as its a solid piece of steel.
