Default Throttle Cable

Is it possible to hide the throttle/idle cables inside the bards? are there kits for this or anything like that? I really would like to have some clean bars just an idea that popped in my head.

Thanks in advance.

That is not an inexpensive endeavor you are thinking about.

you can internally run your wires inside of dimpled bars..but to run you throttle cable inside of bars you will need an internal throttle. I recently purchased this one http://www.motoxcycle.com/internalthrottle.html

Streamline also makes one

don't buy a cheap one

How do you like it? Does it work better or worse then the external throttle? Is it flimsy or does it feel well made and solid? How difficult was the installation? Did you do it yourself? If you had someone do it for you how much did it cost? Any other comments about it please let me know.

Thanks.

I have a Streamline one and am thinking of finally putting it on. How hard is it to run both the wires and the throttle cable in the bars. We just got the wires pulled through today. Wondering if I should just buy a new throttle cable and install that while I have the bike all apart as well? Gotta buy new grips anyways, would rather only have to buy them once.

all depends on bars and if you are ok with maybe having to go it to the bars every year or so to re do them.
a friend of mine has them (not the cheap ones) and they need allot of maintenance, allot......

Thanks in advance.

Whats a bard?

Just joking. If it were me, I would pick up some quailty (stranded) wire, some shrink tubing, gromets, etc, from radio shack and have at it.

If you don't know what Im talking about...take it to your mechanic.
