I am hunting for a specific leather jacket. In the movie Wild Hogs, (based on my research) it appears that John Travolta wears a jacket style called the "Independence," and Tim Allen wears a jacket called the "Maverick."
The details on the Maverick as opposed to what you see onscreen are virtually identical. The glaring exception is that the Maverick that you can get from Harley Davidson, ebay, et. al. has a huge embossed eagle on the back panel. This is not apparent on Tim Allen's jacket. Even though he has the giant Wild Hogs patch on the back, the patch is not big enough to cover where the wing tips would stick out.
Does anyone know if this jacket is available without the embossed eagle?
Does anyone know who actually manufactures the jackets for Harley Davidson? I know of one leather company who has contracts with Harley, but they did not make this particular jacket.
I thought winter was gettin to me. I may be bored enough to read this thread and even reply, but no way I'd be bored enough to watch that movie or be concerned with the jackets.
