Best Roads
Here in Central/Northern California we have several;
Hwy 9 to Skyline Drive to Alice's restaurant in the Santa Cruz area...twisties through the redwoods
Hwy 25 in Hollister and south...twisties through the cattle country
Hwy 49...1 of the best roads with twisties through the sierra nevada mountains
Sonora Pass...same as 49
Hwy 1 to Big Sur...twisties along the cliffs on the coast
Carmel Valley Road...well underrated road with twisties through beautiful carmel valley...

Likewise, south of the Cities, 61, the run along the Mississippi, ALL the way to Naw Leens if'n ya want to.

SoDak, it has to be Needles Highway, and then back round on Iron Mountain Road, the PIGTAILS.

Another EXCELLENT run in SoDak, Custer > Hot Springs > Pine Ridge > Wounded Knee > Sharp's Corner > Rapid City. IF you still have time, hang a right at Sharp's Corner, > 44 via Potato Creek > Interior and then back to Rapid. This will roll you thru the Badlands, like most have never and will never see it.
IMFUO, this would be a GREAT day trip, for an HDF Git Together in Sturgis.
Montana, Hwy 212, Beartooth Pass. (Pack your long johns)
Ariz., Prescott > Cottonwood > Sedona > Flagstaff, Then have the helicopter pick you back up there, so you can AVOID the rest.
HI Ms Twiggy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Route 666 ... Arizona ...
The The Southern Caribou National Forest Loop ... Wyoming/Idaho
Independence Pass (State Route 82) ... Colorado
Talimina in Oklahoma is already featured on the forum, but if you're in southern (especially southeastern) Oklahoma then try this one ... The Indian Trail Highway ... runs off 271 south of Talihina, OK.
AZ-89 - High Desert at its finest, refreshingly cooler than the Valley
CA - 78 - Nice ride through all the trees, lots of good turns
79 - Great switchbacks (was a little charred and not so scenic after the 03 fires)
S-1 from the I-8 to CA-78 - Great desert ride and usually not a soul
