Default How do you get a leg over?

Do you step on your bike from the left or the right?

Just curious...

With a rider backrest and a tourpak I have little choice. I have to mount from the right side.

You're just a poser unless you do it from the balcony.

Stand next to the bike facing forward. Lift the leg that's next to the bike and put it down on the other side. This will not work if you lift the other leg.

With the backrest on I got used to mounting left leg over. Now it's a habit that I wish I started long ago. Much easier and no dragging the boot across the seat or pillion.

Trying to get the wife to try it since she rides with a tourpak. She claims it's easier doing the right leg. Kind of funny watching her pull her foot up with her hand to get it over the seat.

On my 2004 Heritage Classic, it was easy from the left side.

On my new 2009 SEUC, it is much easier from the right side.

When you kick start it's the right side of the bike. I start from the left and walk around to the right side and throw my left leg over.
