What amazes me is people who cannot commit to learning basic English or grammar, yet feel they need to comment on people who don't spend enough time learning all there is to know about nothing.
The neighborhood I grew up in had a pretty strong Bandido presense. While I don't know the whole history of 1% clubs, I probably know more than your average person. I also used to work with a patch holder who was in another club.
That said, as long as you mind your own business most one percenters are not even going to notice you. It's not like they're going to come over and give you a pop quiz on Bandido history, then kick your *** if you get too many answers wrong.
Now yeah if you do something ignorant like go sit on their bike, you are probably going to get your *** kicked. But hey, I'm no one percenter and I would take major offense to someone sitting on my bike without permission too. Unless she had really big ****!
Seems to me that if you mind your own business, treat people politely/with respect and don't go around acting like a tough guy, there's probably not much to worry about from 1%'ers, correct? I mean, yeah, I don't know much about that part of society, but I've found that doing the things above has served me well.
I know what you mean. I remember the rise of several of the local clubs to power and the way some just went away. Others became national or even worldwide. I was lucky enough to grow up around one of the last local cowboys who made drives to the railhead every year. His stories were always fascinating. My next door neighbor was building long fork , rigid choppers when I was ten years old. I spent hours mostly in his way absorbing this. Now it seems the world is full of ignorant punks who bought a Harley. Times have changed. [/I]
+1 true that. And no respect. I liked when most were following the leader...he's on a Honda days, lol. That left the Harleys for the rest of us.
I wonder where people think HD MOCO got there bottled image they use to sell there bikes from every day...?

Good thread OAB,for those of us that know what you're saying. How's that old saying go? Three kinds of people in this world, those that make things happen, those that watch things happen, and those that wonder what happened.

And then, there are guys who talk about nothing happening, just yapping about nothing.
I think that most of the "normal" folks generally don't run into "club" guys often enough to give it much thought. Maybe running across a few at the local bike week. Most buy into the media driven perception and don't care to find any different. Therefore, they have no interest or need to bother with any background info.
Maybe she did know but didn't want to deal with a scumbag gang member.
A patch make a person a scumbag? Just like any other part of society there are people in all types of work & lifestyles that are NOT like every other one in the same group! Whether it be lawyer's ceo's or even CPA's ..... ALL of them are not total scumbags! Just quite a few , as well as in other walks of life. In sales it's best to know whom your customers are ...... especially if there is a commission involved.
Kinda like me calling you a scumbag because you live in a liberal azz stae of OR or a MOB city like vegas ....... most likely I'd be wrong , but then again , as quick as ur mouth was running , more likely 100% correct !
