man hole covers

Yep I avoid them whenever I can. Other types of bumps, patches, etc. Once I saw a manhole with no cover on it at all! The lid had popped off and was laying a few feet away!!! I shudder to think what that would be like to run over...

I hit a water valve cover with a Gold Wing that the car ahead of me had picked out of the street and set it to spinning. It busted my front wheel and sent me off the road down an embankment then jumped down off a concrete wall into a parking lot. I didn't dump the bike, but the forks bent back far enough to smash the radiator.

Obviously you want to avoid them.Sometimes you just can't.Most of the ones around here aren't too bad.I think it's all about counter steering.Push right,go right.Push left,go left!There is one road near me that has lots of them,and they aren't all in line.It's fun to dodge them.
