Default Engineer boots

How many of you wear engineer boots when you ride? I was thinking of getting a pair of Carolinas or Chippewas. Also,Is steel toe any better than the regular?

most people on here say the cruiser works are the most comfortable. That being said, I don't wear engineer boots. I had a pair of the Harley ones and they were so uncomfortable I gave them away. I wear sidi on road sympatex boots. Pricey but waterproof and extremely comfy. They last well too. I also have Doc Martin's pre made in China boots.

Wear engineer boots all the time. The bad thing is that Carolina boots no longer makes the tall 16" boots. Got in a wreck (with a left turn idiot ) while wearing a 12" pair and cut my leg right above the boot. Some will say the steel toe is cold but never had any problems.

I have a pair of the Chippewa 12" Engineer boots and they're very comfortable. My only complaint is that they're not waterproof, but other than that they're great.

I wear the engeneer boots, I would not get the steel toe because they get steel gets cold. I broke my ankle last year dog hit my foot and drove it into the motor. Doc said if I wasn't wearing boots it would have been much worse. Probably needing surgery. So I'm a firm believer in boots while riding, mine has cutouts in the heel to sit on the highway pegs.

I have a pair of Georgia Boots. Use to have a pair of Carolinas. Both great boots. Just make sure they've got Vibram soles. GoreTex lining and Thinsulate is also nice. Steel toes not necessary unless you plan on ridin' over your toes. But buy what you like and what's comfortable.

I agree 100%. I have a pair of 4 year old Chippewa's. They were comfortable from day one. They come with an 800 number that you call and they send you a bag so you can send them back and have them resoled and restained for $65. Just had it done and I should be good for another 4 years.

Finally they are made in the USA!

I've got a pair of dark brown engineer boots...Dont know who made them but I've been wearing them for a long time. no steel toes for me...those steel toe boxes are too confining for my toes.
