IMO the new XR1200 would have to be the best handling HD. It has a pretty nice suspension, wheels, and clearance. But if you're asking "the best handling model for you and wife to tour on" I'd have a different opinion.

I think the best handling bike is the one you have grown attached to. I have seen people do things with Glides that don't seem possible on any bike.
