Headlight connector melted
Had probelms with connectors melting using a Candlepower lens and Hi intensity bulb. 100/55 Xenon
Upgraded to a ceramic connector and problem solved. (No the wires were and are not getting hot, the problem was only at the connector.)

They also have a relay kit if your running more lights etc and need to upgrade. read the FAQ on relays and lights.
BTW the Candlepower bulb and lens setup makes the bike look like an aircraft coming in for landing when on Hi-beam! great for those back roads and inky black nights.

Far as I know its "Legal".
if you use the 100 watt high beam it is not.
The main difference here is the spread of the beam that Candlepower uses for the glass.
Excellent for back roads as well as Highway traffic.
