My ride looks better and sounds better w.o. a shield. I ride with a detachable all the time, though. It's much more comfortable in the cold and on long rides. Sometimes I wish I had a full shield over the low profile. In the end, you'll decide what's best for you.

have had a windshield on mine since day one , apes day two, not real happy about the looks but sure rides better now I have the windvest and it hardly shows ..
you want retarded I think the guys riding with the skull caps and world war 2 goggles look about as retarded as you can get , but then I have never really been a knuckle dragger, macho biker but have been a biker for 50+ yrs ..

I appreciate all the opinions guys. Im definitely a firm beleiver that even though it might kill the look a bit, comfort why riding is important.

Got 16 inch Carlini's on my Bob and it works just fine...also LOOKS just fine...

It's your bike and u have to decide! Quit worrying about what other's think! Unless your planning on showing the bike, then you've opened a new can of worms.
