Default Bad experiences

Has anyone had any bad experiences with bikers of the opposite brand Harley vs. Japanese, or vice versa?
Years ago I lived in this apartment that was not the best of area's (in fact I got broken into there).
Well one day I had just finished a nice ride on my Honda VF750F Interceptor, and just as I got off
some dude (there was a bunch of Harley dudes that lived way down the end of the complex)
that was from the Harley crowd drove by and said just loud enough..."Jap piece of S*#%"!
Now most of the people I knew that rode Harley's were pretty nice, would even rib each other about
each others bikes from time to time. But really this dude had no call for that crap.
I really get ticked at people like that. I really myself could care less if one rides a moped, as long as they
ride, think the world would be better with more bikers!

Once in the '60s I drank from a "Harley" water fountain and heard "Hey, boy. You sposed to be at dat 'non-Harley' fountain."........

.....but yeah, I've spent alot of time on other-than-Harley brand cycles so I've gotten ribbed by my cousin's in fun and by others in not so fun.

Thank god most riders aren't that childish. I tend to tease my PALS with Harley's because I currently Have a Honda VTX1800 and you can bet your butt they tease me for owning a rice burner... but we're pals, nothing is meant by it. We ride and hang out together. (BTW I'm in the forum because my next bike will finally be a Harley) I think it's mostly the 1%ters ... the children in grownup bodys who pull that stuff. They should ride around with a bull horn yelling "I question my manhood so I have to pick fights to prove it!"

Thank god most bikers and motorcyclists are adults and treat each other with respect and brotherhood.

1%ers generally won't even acknowledge your existence. You're simply not part of their world. The li'l punks who say stuff like that are just that - punk wannabe sidewalk commandos masquerading as hardcases. Just ignore 'em.

You have a point ... I stand corrected.

I'll bet he's not even a 1%'er. Just a wannabee. One more example of the saying "There's no point in being a azzhole unless you can prove it!"

Its kinda hard to ignore them. I hurts your ego and your feeling when it happens...

I hasnt happened to me when i had my Suzuki intruder. But you can see it when you look in their eyes..
They ask you where's your bike , you point that Intruder and they just turn their back on you politely.
Some poeple are so dumb retarded.

On the other hand, i have noticed a few jap bikers feeling somehow (inferior or jealous) when they see you coming with a harley... Not like Harley bikers are doing it on purpose...

For years I had a Honda VT750 (ACE), and I really loved the bike and prior to that I had a Honda Magna! I still have pictures of the bikes on my desk. A few of my Harley friends would joke about the bike being a "jap" bike and some told me that they would prefer walking to riding a jap bike. To me it is less about what you ride and more about riding. "Ride to Live . . . Live to Ride" . . . no matter what you ride!
