I knew she was gonna pull out, I knew it!
Car in front of us turning right on to side street. 2 cars waiting to pull out going left.
I saw her move....as the car in front of us cleared I was shifting with the left side but had both brakes ready on the right. And out she came!
Unbelieveable - 1st for an emergency brake with wife on back. Pretty slow speed - locked up the back for a few feet - "I love the smell of burnt rubber in the morning". Full stop with 3 feet to spare. She stopped and we exchanged "looks". Let her go and we finished a beautiful day of riding.
Be careful people - I sometimes wonder if these posts get old and repetative but maybe we can't say it enough.
I had all 3 lights burning and we were higher than car in front of us.
But out she came. Anticipate...anticipate...

Definitly get an air horn.
The bad boy is less than $50.
Even if it does not change behavior, it is more effective than a rude word or exchanged look after the fact for getting the message sent.
And you feel better!

Man it's unbelievable how many people out there have become bad at driving from not looking just to blowing whatever stop sign they want, now dont get me wrong we all arent Saints on the road but damn when we're on motorcycles thats all that happens it seems...But I'll never forget what my father told me when i first started riding
1. Act like everyone is after you and dont worry bout ur riding worry about them driving
2. If they look like they are going to do something stupid on the road, they probably will

To the last post loud exhaust and a loud horn will help. However, they will never stop stupid peoples behavior! There are such things as horrible drivers and no amount of noise can change decision making and skill.
