open those eyes, something. 5 days is a long time.
So glad to hear she is making progress. There's a long, hard road ahead, but the progress is encouraging.

Continued prayers for a full recovery going up.

Woman was driving a rental and Enterprises ins is listed on Report. The cop gave me car drivers Integon Ins. also.

1 Do I need to get a lawyer right away?
2 How the crap do I find a good 1 ?

Thanks for the help. I know some of you have experience.
1. You need experienced legal counsel, ASAP.
2. Martindale - Hubble is a good way to locate one. http://www.martindale.com/ They have an extensive database, and peer reviews of attorneys in may fields.

One thing I didn't read in this thread - do not give anyone a recorded statement regarding this collision until you have retained and been advised by counsel. Not your insurance company and certainly not theirs.

Note than some insurance contracts require you to make a recorded statement to your insurer within a certain timeframe.

Keeping a diary is a very good idea - that contemporaneous record of events can be very useful later on.

Best of luck to you and Lisa.

Matt

The only thing I have to add is make sure you understand your contract with YOUR attorny. I didn't and he ended up taking 40% of everything even hospitall payments and vehicle repair costs. I barely broke even, so be very carful even with your own attorny, there all after the most $.

I didn't read thru all the posts, so if this is a duplicate...I'm sorry. First I hope Lisa heals quickly and am glad she's still on this side of the dirt. Second, SIGN NOTHING. Those posts I did read offered some good advice on lawyers. ask around, the really GOOD ones, seldom advertise. They don't need to. That holds true for all the offers you'll get in the mail. Thoughts and prayers your way. May God Bless.

Also check into ABATE.
I seem to recall someone telling me that they have a legal defense team for members..

Passing along the info.. not necessarily a recommendation..
There is another motorcycle accident specialist out there at
http://www.themotorcyclelawyer.com/n..._attorney.html
No idea how good he is or anything, but remember having seen an article or two on him in some of the bike rags...

How's it going,
If you need any explanation with regards to things going on with Lisa, feel free to hit me up. I am a Critical Care RN and can help you understand some of the things the MDs or RNs are telling you. Sometimes it is not quite explained in lay terms and there is much going on with neuro/trauma pts.

Best of luck, and hang in there, both you and Lisa!

Problem I have is that Their Ins co is My Ins co. Im Screwed~ I need a good one. She was also driving a rental cage. So Enterprises ins is on my wreck report.
GMAC called today and said that they are liable for lisas bills, as the primary ins . So that must mean that Enterprises ins is secondary. THey just called about 2 pm and they had an adjustor looking at my bike by 4 back home.

Got some good leads from my dad and a preacher/Dr at the Seminary, who is also a lawyer in KY. Making some calls tomorrow. Thanks for the unanimous response.

I personally know of several people that had to sue their own insurance company to get coverage due them. You wouldn't be the first.
