This is just part 1..

Part 2 will be the states enacting laws regarding aftermarket equipment (as opposed to laws governing noise and pollution).

Part 3 will be how easy it is for LEOs to spot a non-compliant motorcycle and write tickets... If it doesn't say HD on the pipes, it's going to be illegal. Think how little trouble it will be to just wander around a bunch of parked bikes somewhere like Sturgis or Daytona and start writing... No more having to test the noise with a decibel meter and no more having to test the O2 with a sensor. Just a matter of looking at this point...

Write your legislature and vote...

It works - we got them to not take money from the Motorcycle education fund in Ohio.... Remind them who they work for, heh, kind of Ironic that the issue is about noise, and the one that makes the most on the issue will win...

I went with the Slash Down slip on Mufflers from HD for my 2006 Lowrider. Conbined with the Stage 1, I am happy. V&H were louder on my old bike but I'm past that real loud stage anyway. I got tired of my ears ringing after a 200 mile ride. Still I am concerned over the apparent motorcycle jihad that is ongoing.

Ok, so when is the EPA going to do something about the noise from the hip-hop generation?

I'll let them rattle my car with that boom, boom beat if they'll let me make my Harley sound like something other than a washing machine.....

I hope this happens to me. I'm exempt from those rules because my bike is old and I'll ream into the officer for writing me up

Ordered the RoadKing end of November, had SE put on by dealer before picking it up in March. So is there or will there be a Grandfather in date?

What years are exempt? I'm guessing if this gets too restrictive, everyone will start grabbing the older bikes.
