Here's an even worst thought,

Part 3...

They adapt the can system like the new cars comming out this year, Monitored Catylist System, by GPS.
They can tell if your car is emmitting H2 and C0 at a high level, because the car is being monitored via satalite, also
they can tell if your speeding because they know what road your on, and the cars system is sending all the data to...

BIG BROTHER.... Uhhh the tickets are in the mail!!!! the whole world is a speed trap!!!

The salesman I'm dealing with told me about this several months ago and suggested I buy the exhaust even before I ordered my ride. A couple weeks later when I was going to take him up on that advice, he told me he had heard that the 07 softtails were going to be equiped with O2 sensors in the exhaust, so the slip-on pipes would'nt be a good idea. Has anyone else heard this?

Ain't gonna happen with cars either....I mean the potental is there but who the hell is goin to police it ,think $$$$$$ and think Millions of cars/MC's.It isnt monitored via satalite either its good ole cell phone technology,so whos gonna pay for the tattle tale calls?Sats are ONLY use for GPS info. This happens to be an area I'm a bit of an expert in,worked on the team that created and built a Pre-Onstar fleet to prove the feasabilty of such a system. And whats comin in the future will AMAZE you ,Technology is your friend not your enemy!

I heard that the 50 state legal Screaming Eagle is going to stay. They are still on Harleys site. The Screaming Eagle II's are history.

If Harley cannot make them operate in the EPA mandate. They will not come from Harley.

The EPA rules for your specific year will always be the law. Thats the grandfather.

It looks that way if you have the 2006 catalouge (HARLEY) you will notice it does not have cams except 203's also doesn't show holeshot primary chain etc... hate to say it but I think the end is near looks like they are starting to enforce clean air act that has been out for many years but wasn't enforced .

Do you have any idea the system that would take to do this. There are over 18 millions cars being produced every year. 5.5 million in the us alone. Cray computers would love to get this into law.

You know how many dropped cell calls you get now. Imagine all the cars on the road, even just the new cars trying to call momma to tell them I just farted, or junior is going 43 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone. Yea law enforcement would love that. They can't answer 911 calls with out arguing over who's area it is, Memphis or Bartlett. (People have died here because of that.)

Onstar has a feature now that will run diagnostic on a car and if it finds a problem it calls GM via cell phone. Then the next time you bring in the car for service the tech's have a record what it was doing and you get an email report. After the warranty you have to pay for that service.

There is a black box on new cars that will store about an hour of data. If you have a wreck law enforcement can pull that out and see if you were speeding.

Oh yea that 5.5 million cars. That was in 1998. the US made over 9 million cars in the 2005/06 year.

Maby in ten years, but don't loose any sleep over it.
