Please Help, I had screaming eagle slip on mufflers installed on my bike, 06 RK Custom before I picked it up from the dealer. I have 700 miles on my bike now and I do not like the sound, or lack of sound that these mufflers produce. You could ride the bike through a church meeting and no one would complain. Can anyone advise me as to what brand of slip on muffler will give me some serious Harley thump?
The regular screaming eagle mufflers from the catalog are no louder than stock mufflers.
There were better ones from the race catalog. They are Screamin Eagle Pro II slip-on mufflers.
They sound great. I had them on my bike up till I replaced the whole exhaust.
The 2 types look pretty much exactly the same.
BTW, if you have a road king, why do you have pictures of a Fat Boy? Just curious
Everybody's different.....some like 2 into 1, some like true duals, etc. Keep looking, listen, and ask questions about the bikes and sound you like...........then decide. I'd bet you can sell your existing mufflers very easily. I know a lot of fellow Dresser riders with "loud" exhausts that they bought without research are wanting quieter notes so they can hear their stereo.
