I got caught in a heavy rainstorm yesterday morning and, when I eventually made it back home, I cleaned it up a little and changed oil in all 3 holes. The only other things I did were replace the rear brake pads and bolt on a chrome voltage regulator. After all of that I ran it around the block a few times and parked it, just to check for leaks. All was well.
Tonight it won't start. Cranks, and has spark, but no start. Fuel pump primes up normally. No T-Max fault codes, loaded a different map and re-initialized, no change. Battery is starting to wear down now.
If something got wet yesterday why would I have been able to start it up several hours later only to find that it won't start today? And if something DID get wet, what is the most likely culprit?
Both the battery and the voltage regulator are at the top of my list. The first thing I concentrated on was the voltage regulator, looking very carefully for anything that might have been wrong, found nothing. I'm leaning towards a weak battery, even though it will turn over the engine it's been turning slower lately. It's on a tender all last night and throughout the day today, I'll see if it fires up tonight when I get home from work. If it does, I'll pull the battery for a load test.
Did you take the battery cables off, clean them and tighten them back up properly. There may be a barely loose cable, that allowed some corrosion and the rain damped out the connection.

No, but I did try to move the connections and couldn't, they seemed tight.
