I have to ride through your state twice a month. I hate it. You're aggressive. There are big fat signs around Charleston warning of a crackdown on aggressive driving. I usually roll on at a good clip but in West Virginia people pull out in front of me and then slow down. Or, if I try to pass they speed up. Psychotic behavior seems to be the norm..
I take it you don't ride through Hazard or Harlan KY on your way over to Charleston?
What is the problem with "cracking down on agressive (stupid) driving"?
The mountains used to be full of good people.
Pretty much the same 1.8 million people here now as has been.
I was born and raised in WV and damn proud of it! Make fun of West Virginians if you must, but believe me, there is not much difference between the people of Kentucky and West Virginia. Oh, the scenery and riding in WV is outstanding.........as is the Mountaineer football team.

You HAD to bring up football-Mountaineer football motto....Win or Lose We're gonna burn a couch.
Those people have "Mountain Dew Mouth", I saw it on GMA, they are toothless because of drinking to much Mountain Dew. I felt stupid, I thought it was caused by inbreeding, since it is Mountain Dew's fault West Virginians are safe to keep having sex with their cousins. "You sure do have a pretty mouth" is one of the best lines ever.
Seriously, it is a pretty place with nice people.
[.quote=seikan1;5383347]I was born and raised in WV. As an adult I have lived all over the place from Europe to South America to all over the USA. I Spent 4 years in Arizona and just recently moved back to the hills. I will admit that WV has its problems. There are lots of things that could be improved, but I still love it.
I rode daily in the Phoenix area for a long time. I have had many close calls with people who were less than polite. I think you will find that anywhere.
I really am happy that people make fun of us Hillbillies and want to stay away. It just leaves more room for us here.
West Virginia has some of the most beautiful landscape that I have ever seen. It is a great secret.
So, go ahead and make fun of us toothless, lazy, stupid hillbillies. I can laugh right along with you.[/quote]
I find they may be short of tact when you act like a jerk. Let me know when you find a prettier state, with diverse regions and all good roads.
Don't let anyone find out it is probably the least expensive place to live that is not baltic or african. My brother's property tax for the year is less than mine each month. Labor is very inexpensive..about on par with Houston's undocumented guests. Oh, let's not forget 4 seasons each year but none of them go nuts
