All you people who are whining about West "by God" Virginia makes me happy. That means when we go down there to ride some of the greatest motorcycling roads in this country, we won't have to worry about running into any of you "Real Riders"! HA HA HA
I kinda like riding in West Virginia. Beautiful state with some of the twistiest roads anywhere. Even I-77 can be a mini thrill at 70 MPH. You think folks are lazy there? Try being a Yankee for 50 years and moving south. Everything is slow here except the way they drive. Here's what I used to call other state cage drivers.
New Youk- Newdorkers
Mass.- Massholes.
PA.- Stumpjumpers.
Just to name a few. But motorcycle riders seem to be the same everywhere I have been. Gotta love that!
Riding in WV was great. I aimlessly rode around those beautiful roads all day and then turned on my gps to find my way back to the cabin. Beautiful state parks. I hope to ride there again soon.
I was born and raised in WV and damn proud of it! Make fun of West Virginians if you must, but believe me, there is not much difference between the people of Kentucky and West Virginia. Oh, the scenery and riding in WV is outstanding.........as is the Mountaineer football team.
The guy who sits across from me at work is an "Appalachian American" too...good guy... Misguided about football, but a good guy...
My home state of Alaska is beautiful, but when I rode through West Virginia, I was amazed at how gorgeous the scenery was and how nice the folks were. I was all leathered up, just got gas and some old hillbilly came over to shoot the breeze. "Rode cross-country in 1934 on an Indian." Real nice old gent and I had a great time there. I'll be goin' back someday.
I never did understand what anyone did for a job though. Just sayin'......
