My whole family is from West Virginia. They waited until they built the bridge to Ohio so they could swim over in the shade. I was born in Cincinnati but spent a lot of time in W. Virginia as a kid and still love going there. I've never had a problem and have never been pulled over. I've been in all 48 Cont. States and have never really had a problem.
Squeal like a pig boy.....should of told them "did america's Most Wanted tip them off"
Yep, I had thoughts of that scene running through my mind! Thing is, the cop told me I could call the judge the following Friday to explain myself and see if he'd reduce the charge. I called his office and was told that he stayed home sick. The guy on the phone then told me to call him at home and gave me the number! I called the number and his wife said he was watching tv but she'd give him the phone. We had a nice conversation, but WTF?

Sorry Terry, but being a flatlander disqualifies you from weighing in.
My home state of Alaska is beautiful, but when I rode through West Virginia, I was amazed at how gorgeous the scenery was and how nice the folks were. I was all leathered up, just got gas and some old hillbilly came over to shoot the breeze. "Rode cross-country in 1934 on an Indian." Real nice old gent and I had a great time there. I'll be goin' back someday.
I never did understand what anyone did for a job though. Just sayin'......
I've been running through WVA all my life. I've always loved the friendly people. But these last few years the drivers are getting progressively more assholish. Like said, its such a problem that some bean counter approved the expense of signs that warn of enforcement of anti-aggressive laws.
I honestly think mountain culture started going down hill when dish network penetrated the area.
Had a partner from WV. A real piece of work. I figured if he was the norm ----that was a good enough reason not to go there. Not the greatest logic but it works for me.
I'm from WV, you guys crack me up. I've lived in Mississippi, Texas, Philipines, North Dakota, Korea, Louisianna and New Mexico, but this is home. It does have problems but all of the previous mentioned places do also. I do enjoy the jokes, they are funny.
