I've gotten those feelings, I just recalibrate myself to pay extra attention to my surroundings. Give the road in front of me a couple more seconds, open up the scan a little more and don't let the mind wander.
After a few miles of riding they wash away.

it has happened, i can't deny it. so i'll stop at the nearest diner, have something to eat and let the moment pass.

What if that bad feeling means you could die from eating the food at the diner though?

Yeah I've had that feeling a few times. Ended up staying home and cleaning the bike instead, and changing fluids on my old Suzuki, and found out I was about 100 miles from needing serious trans work done.
