Hey guys I have a 09 heritage and the last 5 or 6 times I've got gas, when I stand the bike up it leaks fuel out from around the gas cap. Now I know your thinking like I am, its being overfilled, but today when I put gas in it I left it at least 3in lower than I normaly fill it up and as soon as I got on the bike and stood it up out comes the gas from under the cap and all down the side of my tank!
I have filled it up in the past to much higher levels and this didn't happen, and now its a everytime I fill up thing. The cap is on tight, one click just like the manual says. This is getting old, I'm gonna take it to the dealership tommorrow but I wanted to run it by ya'll and see what you thought.
the same damn thing started happening with my 03 standard.....**** me right off

This is just pathetic.
Screw the cap on tight and it won't leak. 1 click and you stop tightening it? WTF? Com'on. You just have to be smarter than a gas cap!
You let the gas run out the last 5-6 times you filled? Use your head.

I tried just buying a new gasket, but it seems like only a whole new cap works. Several people in our area that have Heritages have the same problem.
