Default dealership size

Hey, I'm wondering how large of a store your H-D dealership is? The store that is by my house is one of the larger ones in the area. They have a lot of bike there. I've been to some other dealerships and they are smaller stores. It seems that the smaller stores have mostly part accessories and t-shirts with just a hand full of bikes. The dealerships you shop at, do they have a lot of bikes there? I can think of two or three dealerships in driving distance from my house that have a good selectiion of bikes. One thing I like about the smaller stores is that the employees see you walk in, so they come up and talk to the customers.

I visit several dealerships in my area - the one closest (Eastside Harley)) to me is a very small one - room enough to showcase one of each model; some showy accessories and necessities like oil and cleaners; a selection of like 10 boots (M and F) to choose from; like 20 helmets to choose from and the latest HD styles of clothing. Everything else they have is warehoused a block away - that's where you see like 30 models of each kind and all the parts are there.

Another nearby one (Downtown Harley) is a little larger; and then the one in Tacoma(Fife) (Destination Harley) is even larger, complete with a righteous snack bar and extended lines of items. Each bikes accessories are separated from the others and readily accessible to the shopper.

Each dealership has pluses and minuses - and each has its own staff characters and shoppers.

There are several others that I am planning to go by and se in the course of this summer. But from what I can tell, nothing seems as large as the one that is in Daytona and Vegas? Never been, so not sure.

Ours is a medium sized one with about 50-60 bikes on the floor at any given time. However, it's one of the oldest HD dealers in the country...close to 70 years old and has only dealt in Harleys.[8D]

For decades our store was a small one, they had like 5 bikes to look at and all the same model. Within the last 1 1/2 - 2 years the have expanded into a medium sized store, everything has at least doubled in size....if not more.

Ours is medium, and he is moving to a larger, nicer store. The biggest on I have been in yet is Arrowhead in Phoenix. Holy Crap that's a big store.

Great replys. Sounds like each dealership can very in size from small to very big. I've seen a couple Halrey dealerships that also sell other brands of motorsports equipment. Anniesage, yeah it seems each store has their own staff characters and customers.
