The sound question is always a personal choice. I hope the baffles help...although I have found they make them louder...but not quality loud. I have Vance and Hines Big Radius on my Wide Glide and I find them loud....but they could be louder heheh. Although I've seen alot of opinions on the board about them as being too loud or close to obnoxious. I think that type of sound should come standard on the bikes

My only real concern as to noise are my neighbors. I like them, and I like where I live, and when I leave for work at 5:00 AM, I don't want to wake them. If that were not a consideration, let 'em rip! With my SEII's and my carborated FXST, I find that if I just start it, clutch out, and roll out jently, that keep things fairly quiet, or at least no louder than the garbage truck.
I have had no complaints from the neighbors so far, and I'm really pleased with the sound of the SEII's, so everything is great so far.
