The sound question is always a personal choice. I hope the baffles help...although I have found they make them louder...but not quality loud. I have Vance and Hines Big Radius on my Wide Glide and I find them loud....but they could be louder heheh. Although I've seen alot of opinions on the board about them as being too loud or close to obnoxious. I think that type of sound should come standard on the bikes . I would try a full system of Vance and Hines for your bike.

My only real concern as to noise are my neighbors. I like them, and I like where I live, and when I leave for work at 5:00 AM, I don't want to wake them. If that were not a consideration, let 'em rip! With my SEII's and my carborated FXST, I find that if I just start it, clutch out, and roll out jently, that keep things fairly quiet, or at least no louder than the garbage truck.

I have had no complaints from the neighbors so far, and I'm really pleased with the sound of the SEII's, so everything is great so far.

My Dyna is EFI, if you were real concerned and wanted loud pipes. Roll it near your drive way. Turn it on. Put your Helmet on and Gloves. Get on and Go. Your gone in less than 30 secs. Besides you paid good money for your house as well, and all your doing is going to work, whats the point of having something as nice as a Harley without being able to modify it the way you want. I get tired of hearing the whole sound thing. I'm sure theres plenty of people that go to work at 5:00 with there big *** SUVS letting the bass of their music wake everyone up. Sometimes as bikers we worry to much.

[sm=exactly.gif] As long as you are not stupid about it (reving the motor, idleing for 10 minutes, etc) I doubt people are going to notice. My bike is "Too Loud" according to "Rocket", I have no baffles in my SEs, and I leave for work at 4:35 a.m., but I start it up and pull away easy. My next door neighbor comes to work at 7 and says he didn't even hear me leave.
