I am in the works of ordering my first HD (and v-twin), a 2010 Street Glide, and I know that I won't be satisfied with the stock power. My goal is to land somewhere in the 100-110 rwhp/rwtq range. The guys at HD suggest I go with a 110ci swap and that if they do the swap at the time of purchase, I can maintain the warranty.
So, I guess my question is there multiple options to get to where I want to be? And what would you guys do?
Why go to a 110? a 96 that U do a decent 103 build and will have good street manors, with (cams, head work, and pipes) will get that or more fairly easy..
I've heard that HP ratings in the 110 and higher can lead to stock tranny problems.
Didn't know that. I will have to do some searching, thanks for the heads up!

I'm not sure why HD recommended a 110ci when the 103ci build you explained can get me where I want to be. My guess is that they will probably make more money/commission off of it... Figures.
Any other suggestions before I take my new found info into HD?

Read up at Nightrider.com they claim anytime U get either 100hp or 110hp that the stock 96 crank need to be welded to keep it from spinning... Haven't heard any tranny issues at 100hp
Any good motor builder should know same and it would be wise to talk and read more before U put some big $$$ into something that is not sound...
SE 103 cvo script heads,
SE 103+ pistons,
SE cams of your choice,
that likes compression,
SE air breather,
2 into 1 exhaust
or any free flowing exhaust,
SERT, and a dyno tune,
and 2 or 3 extra back tires.
Yep that ought to do it
