Dyno Backfire shots
Got my 06 FXDCI dyno tuned today here in Canberra Australia. It has the old familiar combo of SE 2 Slip-ons, High Flow Air filter, and previously had a stage 1 download, but now has a PC 3. I videod a fair bit of the tune, and have managed to catch the frames where the she backfired.
The first one is the control run where it was running lean. You will note how different the flame color and intesity is. After that flames become more transparent. Check out the last image too, which is really cool. You can see a little flame vortex (or tornado) coming from the middle of the lower pipe.
Thanks to Pete at Robbos Motorcycles for letting me hang out with him while he did the tune.

Cool pics.........so how much did your HP increase with the PCIII..............I had one added also and gained about 12HP.....with just the SEII's. I still have the stock A/C

It's only about 4 Hp up on the control run, where I had the Street legal Stg 1 download instead of the PC 3, but I now have a much richer mixture particularly through the mid-range, where it was excessively lean.
Much more responsive specially when rolling on the throttle from cruise speed.

Question for you. How did they or you manage to get the PCIII under your seat? Any suggestions.
Also was there a seat of the pants difference and idle difference after the install?
Thanks man

If I were going from stock to this setup it would be a huge difference, but from the previous setup to this one it's still noticeable.
What is not reflected in the HP and Torque is the responsiveness of the motor. It was substantially faster to get to full revs from the idle on the dyno once tuned. I really notice when I'm sitting around 70-75 Mph and a wind it on, it seems to take off a lot quicker.
